Viewing Xvid's on your TV (via XBox 360)

Hello Guys and Gals,
If you want to watch the XVids on your TV and have a XBox 360 and a PC with Media Center Edition, then this post is for you!

By default Media Center does not play XVids, it looks for the .mvw type of files. In order to get this working, you need to install a program called "transcode 360" available from "runtime360" (do an internet search).

Once you have this installed, all you have to do is go to the XBox 360, connect to your PC using the media center option.
Go to the Video folder.
when you find the video file, hit on the X on your controller.
select "more"
select transcode.

Of course if you have a DVD player that plays XVIDs you dont have to do this... I like this because it saves me from burning DVD's/CD's all the time .

Since he XBox upconverts, the final quality is awesome

Thanks for reading.
